Hi Tania,
Great to find another Bainbridge/Dewhurst researcher.

I have a John Bainbridge b. 20 May 1822 at Dents Hole, N/Tyne - IGI & 1851 census (Parish of All Saints - householders schedule No 113)
John c. 20 May 1822, father: Bartholomew, mother: Hannah Bowman - IGI & 1851 census

John (22) m. Ann Lilley (22) in the registry office in N/Tyne, on 24 Nov 1844

They had 8 children, 4 are recorded in the 1851 census , all born at Ballast Hills, N/Tyne & 3 recorded in the 1881 census
Hope there is a connection with you Joseph.

My husbands Charles Dewhurst b. about 1802 (calculated from recorded age at death)

Convicted of stealing linen, transported on the "Roslyn Castle" in 1828

Charles (34) m. Elizabeth Banks on 7 May 1836 at Campbell Town

Charles (54) (age recorded as 40) m. Grace Blight (age recorded as 30) 15 Feb 1855 at Port Sorell - Reg No 1122/37

Tania there appears to be a link. I am happy to exchange data if you feel it would help.

Thanks in advance.

Edna White in sunny Melbourne (ex Tassie)
