I have been researching my ggrandfather's family, Thomas Bainbridge born anywhere between 1788 and 1791 probably at Haydon Bridge, Northumberland. He married Catherine Wilthew of corbridge, and their children were:
John born c.1820 Hexham Northumberland
William born c. 1825 hexham
Elizabeth born c 1827 hexham
Robert born c. 1828 Haydon Bridge/hexham?
James born c. 1831 Watchcurrick Farm, Hexham
Mary born c. 1835 at Wood Hall Farm, haydon Bridge
Jane born c 1836 at hexham
Robert born c. 1838 at Newburn
George born c. 1838 at Newburn
George born c. 1842 at Birtley, Co. Durham.

I found Thomas on the 1841 census at Birtley, Chester-le-Street, Co Durham. And in 1851 at Haydon, Northumberland.
Any info on the children - or his wife Catherine Wilthew - would be great. I think the children may have stayed in the Durham area. Also Thomas' parents - I beleive his father was also Thomas Bainbridge.
thanks
