Membership fees for the Mingo County publications are 15.00 per year. Order from Tom Atkins P O Box 567 Williamson, W Va. 25661.
The transcriptions of the records are available at Deborah Byrd's Baisden website(She has the DNA project on the Baisden family) They are listed under the Virginia Record's section as JS Baisden Revolutionary War Records.
The Mingo Newsletter contains copies of the handwritten records plus a first draft of the transcriptions. The records on Deborah's site are transcrtiptions only, but have been updated from my first draft, because we had figured out some more of the words and corrected some typing errors. I am sure there are still errors, but this is the newest info on John Smith Baisden and I wanted to share with everyone. When you read the record you will discover why his records were so difficult to locate.
