BALDERSON, Lorain CO, Ohio

It will start with my Grandmother Ada (maiden name Balderson) and continues with her children then their children under them.It is set up as a true tree like structure. You may find some resemblance.
I don't remember Scott Balderson's middle name, however, I do have something that shows his initials as S.W. Balderson.Based on the death Certificate that my Aunt Roxanna Jones has:He was born on January 20, 1851.He had married a German woman by the name of Minnah Stabinah. My grandmother Ada was born on February 19, 1905 in Beatrice, Nebraska.Scott Balderson died on December 5, 1929 in or near Beatrice, Nebraska.Information on the death certificate was provided by a Benjamin or Ben Balderson.
Based on the information provided by this Ben Balderson, the parents of Scott Balderson was George Balderson, and mother was a Sarah or Sara Davis of Pennsylvania.Scott Balderson was 78 years old when he died. The state of Ohio comes into play here and not sure if George Balderson or Scott Balderson was born in Ohio.Based on some legal documents my grandmother signed, Scott Balderson was born in Oklahoma but no mention of town, or date of birth on her record. So there does seem to be some discrepancy on the two different paperworks.I don't know if Scott Balderson was buried in Beatrice or in Pickrell as you mentioned on the phone.I do understand Scott Balderson was an excellent violin player of his time. Her mother had divorced Scott Balderson and later married a Civil War Vet.That marriage did not last. She had later died as M Imohn on 3-6-1943 in Ventura, California.I will try to track down the German ancestry tomorrow afternoon. It is believed that Minnah Stabbinah or Stabinah was born on 9-23-1863 in the Blackwood Forest of Germany.Ada did have some half brothers or sisters but not sure how they fit into the picture or what their names are.
My grandmother Ada understood that Scott was a full blooded Cherokee Indian, was given the name Balderson and promised to never reveal he was Indian, the same for his brothers. He was supposed to be the story teller of the tribe from what he told her on his death bed.I believe the term story teller would now relate to historian in today's terminology.
I would appreciate your help on any help you can provide on Scott Balderson going back as it will help and get some things clarified in my mind.
Sincerely,
Joseph J. Ripley
