Ciao Mario, come stai?

Scusi per scrivere in inglese, é piu facile per me.
I live in São Paulo, Brasil and I am 35 years old. My grand-grandfather was called Matteo and he came to Brasil around the turn of the century with his brother (I don´t remember his name, but I can see it). He was born in Torre del Lago, today, Torre del Lago-Puccini, close to Viareggio and Pisa. Here they settled in São Paulo, and in Serra Negra, a small town, 100 km apart from SPaulo. I know that other Baldinis must have come to Brazil because there are some others who are not from our family, I mean who have no close relations with my grand-grandfather.

My father has exchanged mail with the relatives in Italy at 1952, and since then no contact was made until 1990, when I went to Torre Del Lago and met Pietro Baldini, who was a grandson of Matteo´s brother, living at the same address where the 1952´s mail came from, at Via Aurelia.
I had a very warm welcome and a pleasant stay at their home.
They said the family originally came from the mountains around Massa-Carrara.

Where do you live in Italy, Mario?
