I know a little bit about Christian's two sons Henry and Peter, who practiced medicine first in Michigan and later in Iowa. Henry remained in Tama County until his death in 1900 but Peter (my connection is through his second wife) has proved more elusive. He married Aseneth McChensey first, apparantly divorced after 1860, then married Ruth (Southern) Stebbings in 1863, widow of John who was killed a year earlier at Vicksburg. Peter himself seems to have died shortly thereafter because his Ruth is a "widow" in the 1865 MASS census, although she left a teenage daughter Elizabeth Stebbings behind in Iowa. Aseneth is living with Peter's brother Henry as "divorced" in the 1870 Iowa.
