HI Thomas :-))
I would like to add that my Great Grandmother was Mary Ann BALE, from Wellington area, Somerset, England.

She was born 20 Jan 1832.

Her parents were James & Mary (GILLARD I think) BALE.

Their family was as follows;
Sarah (born 1820),
Samuel (b1822),
James (b 1828),
Mary Ann(b 1832) &
Charles (b 1834).

When they came to Australia, I have not found out, as yet, but, as my Mary Ann married in Victoria in 1850 to my Great Grandfather, George WEBBER, it had to be before 1850.

And as I have a clue from her Death in September 1910, as residing in Victoria for 65 years, which would mean that Mary Ann arrived out here in Australia in about 1845 at about the ripe old age of 13 years of age!!

So..... with my Mary Ann BALE only being about 12 to 13 years old.... she probably would have come out from England with her family of parent/s and brothers and sister.

I do not know much more than this at the moment, but IF you do happen upon anyone with names of any of the above to do with BALE in Australia, or Somerset, England, PLEASE remember me??

I sincerely hope that you do find great success Thomas in your search of your BALE ancestors,

keep well, mate!
All the best,
in Tassie
