Hello
Sorry I started this string and then didn't keep track of it.
William Bale born 1816 in Fairy Cross, Alwington, Devon was the son of Edward Bale and Elizabeth Dennis. He was a carpenter, his three brothers John, Edward and Richard were mariners all becoming master mariners in time.
William immigrated to Brighton, Northumberland Co. Ontario with his wife Mary Beer, and sons Richard, John and William in 1850. Edward was born in 1852 in Brighton, and Mary Elizabeth in 1858, she and her mother both died in 1858.
William remarried my greatgrandmother Sarah Bull who came from Prince Edward County, in 1865 and their only children were Ethelda, Mary Elizabeth and Stephen.
Her younger sister Elizabeth married William's son John in 1866, complicating the family relationships to this day.
Regards
Ethelda Peshko
