Do you want information about Mary Jane's children-- There were twins Prairie Bird and Wingamond and others. Henry (Heinrich Beil) came to US on the ship Forest. He built and operated a mill in Sussex Co. New Jersey. His son, Jacob came to Green Co. Ky and built a grist mill and saw mill there. Jacob's son, Jacob, came to Illinois in 1830's and ran a mill already built at New Salem. He had timbers cut to rebuild it and died in 1840's. His family stayed on in the Rutledge tavern at New Salem until Jacob's wife Elizabeth died and when her son, William, died they sold it to Jacob's, brother, Abraham. Abraham Bale and his sons also bought the mill and ran it for many years. There is going to be reunion of descendants of New Salem on July 8th 2006. As a descendant of Mary Jane you could certainly come. If you want more information, get back in touch. Regards, Judy from Illinois.
