What is above was posted in support of reseach compiled by Ms Rachael M Lennon.
A Proposed English Ancestry For Henry Ball (circa 1676 – 1735) of Middlesex County Virginia by Rachael M. Lennon, CGRS; “The American Genealogist”; Vol. 78, page 165 (2003).
The Ball research corrections letter...http://www.ballsplace.com/ball-revisited.html
Racheal M. (Mills) Lennon noted:
Henry Ball Sr and Mary Turner Ball were found in 1629 St Bride Parish
in 1649 at St Andrew Holborn
Henry died 1649 and left a small inheritance
...added from our records...
in Horringer parish, Bury St Edmunds
1587, July 28, William Barton married Marie Turner (perhaps this is Margery, another dau of John Turner)
in St James parish records,Bury St Edmunds
1608 June 27, Robert Cooe and Ann Turner
June 29, William Bailie (Balle) and Francis Edhouse
1621, Jan 21 Henry Turner and Ann Clark
In this grouping of marriages for Bury St Edmunds, there is Turner, Browne, Price, Balle
In the early Virginia records for Northern neck, Rappahannock Co there are land deeds supporting these connections.
pg 68 William Ball
pg 69 Francis Porter, mentions land next to Clark's widow, one of those transported was Henry Clarke
pg 224, Dec 22, 1682, Turner, Price, and Ball are together as neighbors in Rappa
pg 410, 20 Oct, 1684, William Ball and John Price, next to Francis Brown
pg 195, 20 Oct, 1691, John Clerk (Clark), Wm Ball, John Price as neighbors
These are just for starters, there are many more VA references for various generations.
