Jasper Ball (bef. 1738-1808) of Loudoun and Frederick County, VA
There are several Ancestry Trees and other internet genealogies that have differing accounts of the family of Jasper Ball of Loudoun and Frederick County, Virginia. This is especially so of Jasper's son, William Ball, who pre-deceased his father in 1796.
Jasper Ball apparently came from Loudoun County, Virginia and migrated to Frederick County, Virginia, by about 1772, when it is said that he purchased a tract of 86 acres. [Shenandoah County Pioneers and their descendants, A History of Frederick County, Virginia, Cartmell]. According to several Ancestry Member submissions, his wife was Catherine Stalcop, [although sources proving this appear to be lacking at this time]. She was the mother of five known children: :William Ball - who married 1st abt. 1777/78, [supposedly] Judith Throckmorton, who was the mother of five children, and who likely died before 1790. William married 2nd, Drucilla Singleton, who was the mother of two young children and is listed as a buyer at William's Estate Sale as "Mrs. Drucilla Ball". William pre-deceased his father in 1796.
Elizabeth Ball - who married George M. Smith in Frederick County, Virginia in 1790.
Sarah 'Sally' Ball - who married Samuel Conner in Frederick County, Virginia in 1789.
Edward Ball - born 7 July 1772 in Virginia and may have died after 1850 in Belmont County, Ohio. [need additional info]
Catherine Ball - likely the youngest of Jasper's children, she married William S. Foley (son of John and Amelia Foley) in Frederick County, Virginia in 1798. They named one of their sons, Jasper Foley after Catherine's father.
Jasper Ball died prior to March 1808, when his son Edward initiated a lawsuit against his other siblings in Augusta County, Virginia [Edward Ball vs. Jasper Ball's heirs], apparently disputing the division of property and assets of his father's estate. Jasper Ball's Estate inventory and appraisal was submitted to the Court on 4 July 1808, and his division of slaves was submitted on 5 December 1808.

Jasper's son William:
Wiliam Ball, son of Jasper Ball of Frederick County was married twice; his first marriage is said to have been to a Judith Throckmorton [sources needed], who was the mother of Elizabeth 'Betsy' Ball (who married a Mr. Henry prior to May 1796), Judith Throckmorton Ball, (who was likely named after her mother and married James Singleton in 1797), William Payne Ball (who married Elizabeth Singleton in 1808), Thomas Kemp Ball (who married Jane Graves in 1805), and Nancy Ann Ball (who married Martin Cartmell in 1808. William's first wife likely died before he married again on 18 May 1790 in Frederick County, Virginia to Drucilla Singleton. Drucilla is listed as "Mrs. Drucilla Ball" as a buyer in William Ball's Estate Sale [listed below] and is listed as William's "present wife" [but not by name] in his will written in May 1796. She was the mother of Jasper Ball [obviously named after his grandfather], and one other un-identified child listed in William's Will, who may have died young, as Jasper is lised in a related court case in Augusta County as William's "only child" [perhaps because his older siblings had all reached adulthood].
