I had just found a reference to an Eve Bellonge dated 1696 in Isle of Wight Co in "Early Quaker records in Virginia" and wondered if this spelling could help me trace my Mays family that intermarried with the Ballengers. I was very happy to see this posting! Thank you. The location for this land grant is adjacent to a Mays family in Henrico. This may indeed be a clue.
