My Lester line was in Fairfax County VA in the 1750's. Later (1770's) they moved to Pittsylvania County, VA. Thomas Lester, my earliest known ancestor, died in Pittsylvania Co, VA in 1787. His wife Sytha (surname unkown) then married John Ballenger. Thomas Lester and Sytha's daughter Elizabeth Lester married Ben Ballenger, also in Pittsylvania CO. The connection between Lesters and Ballengers seems to go way back in time. The records in Fairfax County VA from this period were destroyed. I am seeking information on these Ballengers as well as this line of Lester's. I suspect, but cannot prove, that my Lester's came from Maryland to Fairfax Co VA.
