I am trying to find information on the parents of my ggg grandfather William Ballenger. William Ballenger b. 4/25/1812 d. abt. 1848 Cobb Co., Ga. married Adeline Tilly abt. 1838. Children were: Laura, Caroline, Robert Albert, and William Berdine. Adeline Tilly's family was in Dekalb Co., Ga.
I believe that my William Ballenger was a brother to Martha Ballenger that married Ebenezer Tilly, Adeline Tilly's brother. Also, William was brother to a John F Ballenger and a B R Ballenger.
1860 DeKalb Co. Ga. census shows:
6 117 117 Ballinger John F. 40 M 3,000 8,350 Georgia
7 117 117 Ballinger Julia A.32 F S.C.
8 117 117 Ballinger Elmira M. 6 F Georgia
9 117 117 Ballinger Rebeca 65 F N.C.
10 117 117 Ballinger B. R. 34 M Georgia
I am interested in any information on the above listed Ballengers.
