Thanks for the response, as you probably know Loudoun County VA is bordered by MD and WV and Harrison's children seem to have settled in MD, WV and PA. Your ancestor, Oscar Nichols Ballenger seems to have been the youngest of Harrison's children by his first wife, Caroline Breckenridge. She appears to have died before 1860 (she's not listed in the census of that year) and he was married soon afterward to Sarah Gooden. There were at least 6 children from the first marriage and at least 7 from the second. The line I'm working on is Joseph Edward Ballenger, born 28 Nov 1865 near Bunker Hill, WV. He married my great-grandfather's sister, Mary Catherine Polen on 2 Feb 1888 and had 5 children.
