Good to hear from you. I have a Albert David that was born April 5, 1888 SC and that died Sept 17, 1956, Yolo county, CA. Is this correct? I know he married Lillian Lee Tannery. They had 6 children, Calvin, May, Ruth, Ida Helen, Nora and Albert. Would love to know more about them. On his death cert., who is his mother? Of all of Calvin & Judah Ballenger's children, I find John James and Sarah / Elizabeth Duncan's children the hardest to follow. William Shade, Angers Fady, Herbert Greene, Albert David, James, Henry, Ida and Annie.
The weird thing is Sarah Duncan and Elizabeth. Annie, the youngest child,DC lists her mother as Sarah Duncan. 1900 census has James with Elizabeth. Sarah and the youngest two, Ida and Annie are elsewhere. I think James was keeping two families? Death Certificates are a must and obit's for the answers.
For Ida I have 5 children:
1. May b. 1909 SC
2. William Howard b. 1913 SC d. 25 Jan 1953 Marlboro Co.,
SC He married a Beatrice ?
3. Eva Willie b. 30 July 1915 Macon Co., GA d. 27 Sept
1992 Lincolnton, Lincoln, NC DC# 42082 m. Robert Ray
4. John P. b. 1922 SC
5. Ruby H. b. 1929 NC
This family seemed to move with the work or crops. In 1910 they are in Spartanburg. 1920, in Florida. 1930 in Mountain Creek, Catawba, NC. I believe this is where John died. No confirmation on this. He was alot older than Ida. Being 60 in 1930. Ida was 36. This is all I have on them. I have not contacted the county for what they might have yet. John and Ruby are could be still alive. Trying to locate them.
Do you know how many Rex Ballenger's there are? It is definately a family name. Do not know the orgin of it yet. Maybe Rev. War. Need to check that. Hope I gave you something new?
