I have tried to make contact with you on several occasions...maybe this will work. I too am researching Henry and John and my direct ancestor, William. The names John and William were interchanged between brothers on to their sons and it is rather confusing. There was a reference to Henry Baltzell going to Union County in the Frederick County information..I visited there several years ago. He apparently came via Ohio, perhaps on the national highway which was built during the early 1800's. Henry does not appear in the Union county census records...but does appear in the biographical sketch of a John Baltzell as his grandfather. John's father was John and he had a brother William who was my great grandfather. As far as I can remember, John (the younger) was born after his father's death is 1830. His mothers's ma,e was Rhapsody Lewis, her father was Philip Lewis...all of Union County.
Does this help..does it conflict with what you have? Do you have any information regarding my great grandmother Malissa Clemens..she would be no relation of your's, just hoping! We are planning a Baltzell family reunion for August 3, at the Black Diamong Ranch, Rt. 127 South of Alto Pass, Illinois. Please contact me if you are interested in this reunion or in information.
