Zedakiah and Lavina (Fugate) Banfield are my great great grandparents. I have their children as: Alfred, born about 1833, Kentucky; James, born February 11, 1834, Carter County, Kentucky; and William A., born about 1841, Kentucky.
James R. was a coalminer. He was married to Nancy Jane (unknown). Their children: Squire, Liza A., Mary E. (my grandmother), Nanna, Maggie (Margaret), and Willie.
Buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio with a large BANFIELD marker are. James (GAR 1861-1865 marker), Nancy Jane (wife of James), William F. (F. could be an error), Nannie, and Lizzie.
Also, buried Greenlawn: Mary Banfield (Evans England) and her second husband.
Maggie (Margaret) and husband, John A. Delp, buried Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio.

Joann Evans Lowry
