Hi Shawn,

I am so excited that you contacted me. I called my siblings and my kids to let them know. We are all really happy to have made contact with the Banfields. You are absolutely right that my father, Gilbert Leslie Banfield was a doctor. Although I was only 10 when my grandfather Gilbert S.H. Banfield died, I had very fond memories of him and my grandmother Ella Parris Banfield.

I do remember hearing the name Millicent but did not know the connection. We did know Lottie but lost contact a while after she moved to Florida. I also remember Uncle Reggie. He and my grandfather looked so much alike. We kept in contact with his wife Cecile for awhile but I assume she has passed on also.

I would love to talk to you. My daughter is already talking about planning a trip to Barbados. You can contact me directly via e-mail
