Have you tryed the birth, death and marriage licenses in the basement of the Wilkes-Barre courthouse? There is quite a bit of information there. There are a lot of Luzerne b and d records (til 1906, I think that is the cutoff), there are marriage records for even longer periods. Also, there was a Banker family (connected to my family) in Carbondale (William and Robert (I think the brother was Robert)). William was married to Elizabeth Daughton.
