Hi Becky! I think the last time I saw you was at my brother Hector's wedding back in 1996. Boy, a lot has happened since then! I have recently been wanting to know more about the history of our family, so I am now reaching out to any relatives out there who I may or may not know. I think if we combine all of the family stories floating around, we will have a very rich history of what life was like for our relatives who lived in Mezcala back in the so-called "Olden Days!". Part of the legacy that my mother left behind were hundreds of old black and white pictures that she took herself when she was growing up in Mezcala. Recently I have been asking my Dad to identify the people in the pictures because for the most part I have no idea who they are. Becky, I do have a few that your mother are in that I would like to share with you. I now live in San Bruno, which I believe is not very far from you. Drop me an email at, I'd love to hear from you, and I am sure your Mom would like to know that I have not fallen off the face of the earth! For anybody reading this who knew my mom and the infamous "Tia Lola", they were definitely two peas in a pod!!! By the way, these old pictures are now in my possession and include pictures not only of various people, but also of the countryside and of the church and plaza. I even have pictures that were taken when the plaza was being built. I recently returned to Mezcala a few years ago. It sort of looks like a ghost town now, but a lot of the charm is still there and the church is just as beautiful as I remembered it as a child. Anyway, that's about it for now. My brother Cesar is still trying to track down the website he wrote about earlier. We would still like to hear from ANYBODY who might be related to us, so please write!!! =) Bye for now!
