Dear Jack, Melissa and Patty: You are undoubtedly right about Leoma. (I have Leona) Did Patty tell you that a dozen of us John/Hannah descendants combined funds to place a marker at the burial site of John and Hannah in Leary, Tx? It has only been a few months. It states their names, birth and death dates and "Wavell Colony Pioneers"; then on the back of the marker lists the names of all their children. Thank you Patty for giving me this website. I have never heard anything about the Miami Indian thing and rather doubt it as I have a picture of Jacob Barkman (John's brother) and there is no indication that he might be part Indian. However, if anyone comes up with any clues as to parents of John and Jacob, I would really like know about it as my search as been in vain. Hope to hear from you. Jean D.
