Rev. John Barlow is my ancestor. Henry was definitly a son of Thomas Barlow, Immigrant from England in the year about 1690 according to Immigrant's great grandson. He could have been the Thomas of Manchester who immigrated to VA aboard the ship, the Lamb in 1699 & his indentured service was for 5 years. I have a copy of papers referencing an Indenture concerning Thomas Barloe (Barlow) who signed as a witness. Thomas was then an indentured servant. All parties including Thomas were of New Kent County VA. The legal proceedings were in 1702 & 1703. Thomas was transferring from the service of a wealthy man to a lady. There is a tabloid magazine reason for his transfer. He did nothing wrong but the man he was indentured to who was a leading New Kent politician/ landowner & this lady -- you can guess. I have a lot of research since 1977 on the family & back to Barlow in Lancashire near Manchester which I have visited. Barlow is now the grounds & Barlow Hall the Club House of the Cholton-cum-Hardy Golf Club.
