I think we have definitely found a connection!I have also found an Agnes Tunbridge Barman, b1861, who I assume is the unnamed female infant (she married in 1882, though I don't know who). Do you know any more about George Tunbridge - eg why he and Sarah never married?Sarah Barman, age 61 and single, is still alive and living in the same street as her son George (your g-grandfather - which son was your grandfather?) at the time of the 1901 census.
I have a Mary Ann Barman getting married in the September quarter of 1841 - any connection?
I'd also like to hear what you have on the Barmans going further back - are they connected with the Barmans in Woodchurch, near Tenterden?
