I am not related to this family, but thought the following might be of interest to those posting here. From Nova Scotia's largest daily newspaper - http://thechronicleherald.ca/ - Halifax, NS ______________________ BARNHILL, Colin - Born April 21, 1935, died September 22, 2005. His ancestors came here from Britain in 1752. Colin, before his retirement, taught French and Latin, working for 10 years in Calgary, Alta.; he also taught in Halifax and Dartmouth (while at Dalhousie, earning his qualifications, he also won a prize in English and history). He was a faithful member of the Leisure Club in Bedford, as well as a faithful attendant of St. David's Presbyterian Church in Halifax. He loved art openings and church suppers; Colin was also a lifelong animal lover. He is survived by some friends who thought the world of him. There will be a memorial service and reception for him at St. David's Presbyterian Church on Brunswick Street on Saturday, December 3, at 11 a.m. Notify Administrator about this message?
