Thank you, Stan. I am still trying to sort it all out. I couldn't see any way that those 2 Roberts were the same or father-son, although a couple of other people seem to think so. I still have no info about the pedigee of Robert Barnwell (born 1720-30 in northern Ireland and immigrating in the 1760's, right?). Any additional information is GREATLY appreciated.
