Here is info re: my family who immigrated from Antrim, Ulster, Ireland to Bucks County, Pennsylvania who migrated to Scott KY then to Knox County, MO and Colorado.

I am a great-great-granddaughter of
Samuel Colby Barnhill b. 1832 in KY d. 1909 from near/around Edina Missouri. He was the son of:
Samuel Joseph Barnhill b. 9 Jan 1809 in Scott KY, d. 22 May 1877 and Harriet Somerville Glendenning. He was the son of:
Samuel Barnhill and Susannah Pettit. Samuel was born in Washington, PA in 1782 d. 1846 and is buried in Vance Cemetery, Georgetown, Scott, KY. He was the son of:
Samuel Marcus Barnhill b.29 Dec 1761 in New Bucks, PA and died 25 Sept 1844 in Scott, KY. He is buried in Stoner Creek, Muddy Ford, KY - married to Elizabeth Fire. He was the son of:
Samuel Barnhill b. 1732 in County Antrim, Ulster, Ireland, and died 29 Sept 1794. He was married to Jane Craig. He was the son of:
Robert Barnhill b. 10 June 1703 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and married to Sarah Smith. They arrived in America on 28 Sept 1734 in Philadelphia, PA and settled in New Britain Township, Bucks County, PA. (Robert Barnhill is the 3rd great grandfather of President Theodore Roosevelt via one of his son's - John who was Samuel's brother, married Sarah Craig (Jane Craig's sister) and they had a daughter named Margaret who married Cornelius Roosevelt. They had Theodore Roosevelt Sr. therefore making President Theodore Roosevelt Jr. a distant cousin of this Barnhill clan for those of us who are related via Samuel Colby Barnhill.)

Back to SAMUEL COLBY BARNHILL. His daughter, Jennie Belle Barnhill, was my great-grandmother. She and her husband, John Henry Lewis, raised my dad in La Plata Missouri after their oldest daughter, my dad's mother, died in 1919 of the pandemic flu.
