Chuck, My Family also from Waterford- Great grandfathers name was walter, born in Ireland in the 1840s. The problem we are having is his father in tha letters we have is reffered to as "the master" and we are also looking for a name. Does the name Ballencurra (the name of my grandfathers farm) mean anything to you. The names of one of the wives was Roach, and another was Murphy. If any of this "clicks" I will do more research.
thanks,
John Lowell Barron
