Hi, this is Chuck Fogarty Your reply had me confused for a minute until I seen that you replied to the site that spells Barron with one r " Baron". Have you looked at the other site ( http://genforum.genealogy.com/barron/ ) ?. I have 2 messages on page 3. Thomas Fogarty & Elleanor Barron are believed to have been married in the parish of Kilmacow in south Kilkenny Co. on Jan 29th, 1812. the address within the parish was Graney. Probably the townland of the resident mother. Witnesses were Walter Barron & Power. Some of names of the sponsors at their children's birth were Peter Barron,& Margret(Mary) Barron. This information came from Waterford Heritage Ireland. My dad and I went to Ireland this past summer and had a Great time. While I was there, I talked with Michael O'Conner of Waterford Heritage. He believes that Thomas Fogarty was from Graney and Elleanor Barron was from Kilmacow. Both towns are in Kilkenny County across the river from from Waterford. (You could almost walk from Waterford to them 2 towns). You mentioned a Ballencurra farm, right across the river from Waterford, just east of Kilmacow is a town called Ballincrea. Is this the place you were looking for?. Other good Irish's sites are: http://www.local.ie/ http://www.rootsweb.com/~irlkik/index.htm http://community-2.webtv.net/waterfordroots/waterford/ Before I went to Ireland I was hoping to find some distant cousins Fogarty or Barron, but was unable to. Had a great time anyways. I am still trying to trace Ancestors in Ireland. It will be hard to go further, What the British did not destroy, the Irish did to keep Information from the British. Also remember, some Barrons became Barnes when they came to America, Canada, or Australia. I do not no why. Maybe we can connect our ancestors some day. Keep in touch, Chuck Fogarty My email is fog2432@lcc.net
