Joelle,

At this time, my research is limited solely to Durango, Mexico. Once I begin to find my European ancestors, I will turn my research to the Old World.

When I began researching my ancestors 5 years ago, I thought that at the most my family had been in Mexico for 200 years. Thus far, I have identified nearly 300 years of my ancestors. Except for one ancestor who is from Spain, everyone else is Mexican. That means that I have to go farther back in time to find my European ancestors.

Perhaps, someone else in this Forum has Barraza ancestors from Spain. They might be able to help you in your search.

Best regards,

Javier Avitia
