I am revising my original post as follows:William Barrett and Catherine Hogan were probably married in or near Storm Lake, Iowa.Their children were: Thomas, James, Helen and Eileen.James married Claire (last name unknown), no children.Helen married Ralph Mossman and had sons Jerry and Bill. Tom was my grandfather. No information on Eileen.
All these children were probably bornin Iowa before the family migrated to Northern Idaho. There was also twins born to Wm and Catherine, possibly in Idaho.Catherine and the twins both died "in the plague of the early 1900s" ( the flu epidemic of 1910?) and are buried in a cemetery in Spirit Lake, Idaho. Upon her death, some of the kids were sent to the Midwest to live with Larry Barrett, William's brother.
Thomas Barrett's second wife was Billie Banks. She bore him two children, Michael and Pam.She died of multiple sclerosis and is buried in cem. Spirit Lake, Idaho.Tom died of liver cancer about 1964 and is buried in cem. Spirit Lake, Id.Michael and Pam were adopted by a family in Rathdrum Idaho and I don't know where they are.Michael would be about 40 yrs. old and Pam a few years younger. At the time of his death, Thomas was not Sheriff of Rathdrum, but had been Chief of Police of Rathdrum shortly before his illness and death. He predeceased his wife, Billie, who came from a family in Rathdrum, Idaho.
Anything sound familiar, let me know.I'm trying to trace the ancestors of William Barrett and Catherine Hogan.Thanks.
