Has anyone researched Samuel Barrackman from North Shenango Twp., Crawford Co., PA? Someone told me there's a write-up in the book, Our County and It's People - A Historical and Memorial Record of Crawford County, Pennsylvania by Samuel P. Bates, Chapter 13, North Shenango Township, page 549.

Some highlights from the book:
came from Susquehanna County in 1799
April 1800 settled in northern part of Shenango
built log cabin in land he settled & stayed his remaining yrs.
was prominent citizen of vicinity
1818 he built first frame house in the township
had brother, Jacob Barrackman, who was crippled, was another early settler.

From census indexes:
1790 Saml Barackman, Mifflin Co., PA (unknown township)
1800 Samuel Barickman, Crawford Co., PA (unknown township)
1810 (not found)
1820 Samuel Barickman, North Shenango Twp., Crawford Co., PA
1830 Samuel Barackman, North Shenango Twp., Crawford Co., PA
1840 There are 2 Samuel Barrackmans; most likely father and son.

Would appreciate any information.
