You asked if Mildred was correct about "pre 1750 BARRICKMAN ancestors?"

Mildred wrote:

#2.John Barrickman b.1775 was the son of Henry Barrickman Sr.

"#3.Henry Barrickman Sr.b.1750 was the son of Christopher Barrickman
#4 Christopher Barrickman b.1712 was the son of Johannes Barrickman
Johannes Barrickman born in 1685"

No, Mildred's post was not correct. She took it from material written by Ms. June B. Barekman in the 1960s. It was speculation on June's part, based not on detailed documentary research but on idea that 'same surname = same family' without tying together any generation with records.

The father of John Barrickman (ca. 1775-1851, d. Monongalia Co., WV) was John Barrickman who d. ca. early 1804 in Monongalia County, where he'd moved to ca. 1800 from German Twp., Fayette Co., PA. The elder John appeared in German Twp. in the 1770s (in or after 1773). From where, I don't know. Numerous online trees express the conclusion -- with no evidence whatever -- that this John had married in Philadelphia. Repeat, there is no evidence for this marriage's pertaining to the John who turned up in German Twp., Fayette Co., PA.

I do not know whether parents of John Barrickman Sr. (d. ca. 1804) lived in America or who they might be.
