I was checking out the Barton Family Forum and yours caught my attention. If you go to Google and then enter albert posey cobb, you can pull a lot of information about your Grandfather Albert.
Then go to Google and enter martha barton married andrew cobb.

[1515] At that time his widowed mother was also living in his household.
[1516] He was a beneficiary of the estate of his grandfather John S. Cobb andwas paid his inheritence on 03 April 1854.
[1519] This date is based on the fact that Albert Cobb was already married tohis second wife per the 1850 census of Gordon County, Georgia.
[1521] Traditionally, William Ambrose Cobb left St. Clair County in the late1860's, after service in the Confederate Army during the War Betweenthe States. His service record has not been positively identified,but the most likely candidate is one William A. Cobb that served inCompany D, 19th Alabama Infantry Regiment.
[1520] Like his brother, tradition holds that John L. Cobb left St. ClairCounty in the late 1860's after service in the Confederate Army duringthe War Between the States.
