Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I have since found out a great deal since my posting with the help of a distant cousin (whom I found from posting on here) descended from John's second wife. There are many, many, MANY Jacob Bashores in this family. I recommend two books for you, the first is "Frances BASHORE Francis Collection". It is a comprehensive collection of family group sheets of the Bashore starting in PA and spreading throughout the US. It is available from the Tulpehocken Settlement Historical Society. Check out their web page, http://www.geocities.com/gragor99/tulpbooks.htm or their address is: 116 N Front St. PO Box 53 Womelsdorf, PA 19567. Another is the book "Pasour, Paysour, Payseur, Paseur, Together ...at Last" by Thomas J. Marino. He cites the Frances book heavily and is mainly concerned with the NC branch of the family whose named evolved to Pasour and variations thereof. He has a web page which tells you how to order the book: http://hometown,aol.com/paseurbook.
Finally, there was a web cite under Beshore which has some great information too. I don't have that cite any longer, but you can search for it. Good luck.
