Bob: Thanks so much for your info. I'm amazed that KS has a town named Bashor. I was born in Bentley, KS. The Jonathan b. 6 Dec 1826 sure sounds like it could "fit" as my grandfather's dad. John is the only name listed on grandfather Valentine Jonathan's death certificate. Further, "John" listed on the death cert. has a birthplace of PA. I'm thankful for the book reference and will try to "track" it here in Colorado Springs. I live in Black Forest. May be heading to KC and Wichita in late Oct or Nov. Will try to find the town "Bashor." Sounds like you have a lot of information. My grandfather was b. 25 Feb 1856. Will try to find the book and may contact you again. My e-mail is: profb@qwest.net
