the above names of children come from the following sources:

wife, Yourrath
four sons: Pleasant, John, James, Daniel
daughter: Peggy Basket

Will of James Basket Jr. (son of James Sr and Yourrith):
(Will Book B page 179-180; Newberry County SC)
written 16 Oct 1797, proved 28 Jan 1798;
will names:
mother, Yourath,
also 澱rothers and sisters:
Frances Rud
John Basket
Dan'l Basket
Ann Middeton
Eaby Williams
Elzabeth Perdew
Pleasant Basket
Margaret Basket

I do not find a William Basket in this generation....however, the Pleasant Basket shown above did have a son, William.
I am not at all certain of the approximate birth of Pleasant. However, if he was born ca 1766 as I have it, he seems to be too young (13) to have a son born 1779.
But I'm not at all sure of the date I have for Pleasant's birth - although if anything, I would guess he might've been born later than it still wouldn't work for father of your William..
How sure are you for the date you have for William?
I'm afraid I don't really know anything about the William son of Pleasant...for example, I don't know if or who he married.

Additions/ corrections always appreciated.
Hope this is of some help to you.
