Well, it's really mind boggling. I still don't know where James was born nor where Yourith was born. I know that the counties are Guilford to Bute to Warren. All must be searched. Got all of the James' issue and who most of them married. Don't think James, Jr married. Found out that they didn't sell the property until long after James had died and that was in 1788. Yourith apparently left NC and went to SC--Newberry between 1795 and 1797. She married Thomas CAtes. He apparently out lived her as they were not going to get him involved in the family affairs of selling James' property so they could get their inheritance. I almost had to wait that long to get my grandmother's and still got ripped off. Found all of Pleasant's kids and who they married and who the mothers were to which kids. Pleasant left a will. Found out who Yourith's parents were and who her sibliings were. But, still need to know where they came from because I don't think it was NC. It seems more like they must have been born in VA. Really need to go to NC and get records because you can't do the real work on the net only suggestions and ideas. Found out that Nancy Middleton has two sisters. But, I want to see the proof that we belong to the aristocratic Middletons. Haven't found out much of anything on Middleton. Find it had to believe he belongs to the SC bunch if he married Nancy in NC. Need to work on the census records and find some Middletons where the Baskets were. Found the old newspaper articles from Itawamba that I got 30 years ago. It seems to back up the idea of Middleton going to OH. Wish so much of our history had not been thrown out that day. Lucky to get that one letter I guess. That's just about it I think. Still don't understand where James' father was living and died.
