Yeah! A new German surname! How do you get a new name posted?

I'm looking for connections to my Hopkins, Hinsdale, Austin surnames. My William Henry Hopkins b1838 Erie, Co., NY - 1911 IA had a German mother with a maiden name beginning with B.
Family lore says RI Gov. Stephen Hopkins 1707-1785, signer of the Declaration of Independence is an ancestor. Still looking for parents of William Henry Hopkins. His father was born around 1800 in NY State.
William Henry Hopkins married Kate Moore 1845 NY - 1924 IA
in 1864 in Andrew, Jackson Co., Iowa after his return from the Civil War.
My other German ancestors are Haddox, Berg, Burgs, Berger and Kaul.
