Two mistakes by Bates in article

In Reply to: Bates Family of Old Virginia Versus DAR by Wayne Witt Bates of 8064

1) The Revolutionary War had not been over for 2 years as of March 1783. Large numbers of the Continentals were discharged in June, 1783, and the formal Peace Treaty had not even been signed by then.

2) the document quoted in the non-cited publication, purporting to be a receipt for pay, does not suggest that Mr. Duvall was a neighbor to Ruben Bates, although Wayne Witt Bates keeps saying so, and that Mr. Duvall had 'picked up Bates' pay'. The quoted item says no such thing.
