Well documented research would help all of us achieve better more accurate outcomes as we attempt to find our family "roots" and tell our family and nation's story. It is frustrating that many records no longer exist and when they do are not in a form that meets "rigorous" standards of proof. That said, putting negative labels on the work of organizations like the DAR or individual researchers diminishes you and your work. "Peer review" is part of the process. If you channel the energy "constructive criticism" generates into ideas for a research plan to strengthen your presentation then you will be the winner ---not of a battle, but by the positive results you accomplish.
