Posted by: GreenhornPup (ID *****8992) Date: November 01, 2012 at 17:50:06   of 8035 John Isaac Bates was one of my ancestors. He was born in England in 1598, came to America, and died in 1667. I know for sure that his father was named John Bates, but what about his mother? Is it Martha Mallory or Mary Martin? My 4-great-grandmother was Lauriette Bates Hulsey (1815-1887), whose father was General John Bates (yes, another John Bates). I want to know for sure if she is a direct descendant of John Isaac Bates. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Notify Administrator about this message?
