Hi Carol,

Well, I'm more convinced than ever that your William and my Thomas were brothers. Primarily, my belief had been based on the names of their children. William and Thomas both named children: Robert, Mary Jane, Sarah, Isabel(la), and Margaret. Thomas also named a son William.

My belief became even stonger after I found out that one of Thomas' daughters named her own daughter after one of William's daughters. Confused? Thomas's daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Batty Niven, named one of her daughters Leila Isabella Niven. Your William had a daughter Isabel Leila. This is more than conincidence, from my standpoint. Your last post was what spurred me on to track Thomas's children's lines.

Do you have any information on William's parents or granparents that you would be willing to share? If so, I would most certainly appreciate it.

Hope all is well with you.
