I am looking for family researchers who may also be working on this family group who would share info. The following excerpt references George and 2 Jacobs. I am looking for connections. HH Hain Hist of Perry Co., PA Pg 933-934 BUFFALO TOWNSHIP (history of)
"When the new county of Perry came into existence, in 1820, the assessment list of the township of Buffalo was as follows, Watts and Howe Townships still part of the township:
(among those listed in the following order are)... George Bauder, 85 acres; Jacob Bauder (blacksmith); John Bare, 40 acres; Jacob Bauder (weaver), 14 acres..."
The surname variation may have been BADER (Tax list misspelling) and about 1820-1830 the surname POTTER was adopted and used by this descended family in this are of Perry Co., PA.
Thanks,
V.K. Jones
