I am researching a Mallory/Trickey to Bauter (Bauder) connection from Ontario to Jefferson Co NY to Manistee MI to Whatcom Co WA. There are a number of Bauters listed in Whatcom Co. The name appeared at Banter in the MI census, but it was clearing the family of John Henry Bauter and Amelia Trickey. John appears to be the son of Heinrich or Henry Bauter who married Mary Dillenbach.
