BAUTER, Laurel Melroy "Mel" age 28, of Renton, passed away in Renton Saturday, Aug 2, (1958). Mr. Bauter had formerly resided in Bellingham for 25 years, having resided in Renton for the past three years. Survivors are his widow, Maxine; one son, John and one daughter Nancy, all at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bauter of Bellingham; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Elliott; one brother, Alvin E., of Sumas; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lenabelle Belfield of Fairbanks, Alaska, Miss Rosemary Ann Bauter of Renton and Miss Diane Ruth Bauter of Bellingham; grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Hancock of Bellingham. The remains will be received by the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. George Ackley Friday, Aug. 8 at 3 p. m., followed by cremation.

A lifetime Bellingham resident, he is survived by 3 daughters, Iola "Lenabelle" Bauter of Hamilton, Wa., Rosemary Ann Lindquist of Lynnwood, Wa. & Diane Bauter of Mt. Mr. Bauter was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Elliott Bauter in Sept. 1980, son, Melroy Bauter, mother Carrie Hancock, sister, Ada Hopcroft & brother Harlem Johnson. BAUTER, Ruth E., age 73 of 2219 'B' Street, passed away Mon., Sept. 22, 1980. Mrs. Bauter was a member of Calvary Temple and a 57 year resident of this community. She is survived by her husband Roy J.; son Al & wife Arlene Bauter of Sumas; 3 daughters, Rosemary Goodman, Diane Bauter, both of City; Ole Moore of Hamilton, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Frank & wife Elaine Elliott of Honolulu, Hawaii; Harry & wife Laura Elliott of Quilcene, Wash.; sister Lena & husband Frank Cammack of City; numerous nieces & nephews. At her request there will be no service. Cremation Greenacres Crematorium. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes or a favorite charity. Arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
