Sorry it wasn't her. Figured since Besty or Betty is often short for Elizabeth she may have been listed that way. I think that the census takers sometimes made that assumption. In the 1900 census, if she is living with a brother-in-law named William R. Mapes, it looks like she is listed as "Bettie", born NY in April 1834.

If you search for anything under the surname Bauder also look for BANDER. There are a whole slew of Bauder's indexed that way at Ancestry.com.
