I'm trying to find information on my ggg-grandmother, Mary Baughman/Bowman/Baumann. She was born 3 Jan 1819 and diesd 8 Jan 1850. According to family legend, she was born in Germany...but after 30 years of doing research, I've discovered that in my family - it's usually some other family's legend that is quoted. Ours is too boring - but, hey! Somebody had to be the peasant, right?
She married a John Charles Belston (b. 21 Oct 1817 - also in Germany, according to "family legend") and died at the birth of my gg-grandmother, Melissa Ellen Belson. (Melissa was raised by a George & Mary Dague of Milton Twp, Wood Co., OH. Discovered yesterday that Mary Dague was originally Mary Baughman so I'm wondering if my Mary was her neice or something)
Does anyone have a clue on who these people were? Parents, siblings, outlaws, inlaws, the dog's pet goldfish - whatever? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying every backdoor I can think of to break through to "daylight" You can reach me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
