I'm also interested in the Missouri Bamgardners. I believe they are my wife's line. Her gr gr grand-father Edward Baumgardner was born 1-19-1805 in Wythe Co. Va, he married Elizabeth Whisman. They had 4 boys John Frederick, James, Frank Marion and Ephriam and 5 girls Sarah, Susan, Elizabeth, Eva and Margaret. All born in Wythe Co Va. Sometime after 1860 Edward and Elizabeth moved west along with their daughter Eva and her family. She had married Jefferson S Jackson. He died in Kansas City, MO. Edward died in Kansas City also and Elizabeth died in Padua, McLean Illinois, but is buried with her husband in Kansas City. My wife's gr grand-father was Ephriam who served in the Civil War, then settled in Monroe Co., WV. I have no information if any of his other siblings went west with their parents and the Jacksons. Hope this helps and maybe you can help me. It hasn't been proven, but it is believed Edward's father was Frederick Baumgardner d. abt 1835 of Wythe Co., Va
