I too have ties to Wythe Co.,VA. My earliest note is the marriage bond of George and Caty Myers-Bumgardner dated 1815. I have never been able to tie George to any other families of that area however I have read that A "Fredrick Bumgardner" died in Wythe county in 1821. Never located a will which may name children. I would appreciate any info at all that you may have on this "Frederick" and "Edward".
My Bumgardners moved from wythe Co. to Washington Co.,VA then into Lee Co.,VA from there they moved into Taylor Co. KY then into Brown Co. Ks, back to Laclede Co., Missouri then into Sangamon Co.,Ill. I can get more detailed if you wish to exchange info.
Best Regards, T. Bumgardner
